The hardware requires a single internet connection of around 10mbps, this can be fixed line or via satellite / wireless. The small cell once connected via the internet, connects to our core network to then provide a mobile service for around 1km.

wavemobile is a neutral host network and extends your network connection, allowing you to browse the internet and use messaging such as WhatsApp, iMessage, Signal, Telegram and your favourite Apps such as Facebook, Instagram, etc. in areas where your usual signal might be weak or non-existent.

There’s no extra cost to you or your current network provider.

When on our data only “Wifi” type service, you will not be able to receive calls or texts, however you will be able to make emergency calls.

This is the standard configuration for wavemobile until you choose to Opt-In, which will be made available to you via an SMS when you are in range of our network.

Yes, wavemobile’s 4G+2G network service is free of charge to users of our network.

Our objective is to create footprints by establishing coverage across the UK, particularly in areas where the main mobile suppliers face challenges in reaching cost-effectively.

As we grow, the need to maintain and service the networks will increase. However, the core 4G+2G service will remain free. We will introduce premium connectivity options to a new high-speed layer and may enter into agreements with operators for voice/data termination, which could involve additional charges for these enhanced services.
